I was having trouble figuring out where to add the green fern and the clubmoss, so decided to start on a new composition that focuses more on the red and green. I’m starting out with the main pitcher plant leaf and the seed pod stalks. I feel like with the round berries in almost feels like an underwater scene :). I plan to add the fern and club moss behind the cranberries and winterberry. Any thoughts/suggestions?
This is starting off quite nicely. I like the warm browns and reds as a unifying color theme. And beautifully drawn. The ferns should add a nice “under water” feel. My one comment now would be to watch the symmetry of the plants in the composition. I’m seeing the stems as too uniformly spaced. It looks “arranged” instead of evolving naturally.

Thanks for that feedback about the symmetry. Very helpful!!
Exquisite pitcher plant.
