Hi Karye- you are really capturing the papery quality of these bulb skins and good choice of colors! There are a couple of things to consider. I think you could add more toning to the bulbs to emphasize their form. The left side of the bulbs, which is closest to the light source should be a 3-4 on the tone scale. You then transition lighter as it moves toward the main highlight. The left and center particularly need a more established highlight. There are a couple of spots that need more dark toning, such as the upper right side of the bulb on the left. That area would be in shadow. Not every subject is necessarily going to have a reflected light (especially if you are showing it’s roots, for example). The center and right bulb need more of a range of tones from dark thru the mid-ranges. You are almost there! The roots will be a challenge, but worth the effort!
