Nice job Renata! The background leaves really help show off the white flowers. Are you planning on adding a strawberry? It would look great on the upper right side!
Thank you Doug! I am seriously considering a strawberry! I still have the plant so I think I will wait for the strawberry to materialise instead of getting one in the grocery store. I considered also adding something to the bottom side to replicate the ground – not sure how though… Let me know if you have ideas!
Hi Renata- unlike the quince drawing, this drawing’s composition would benefit by adding more to it. I like the idea of adding a strawberry (or strawberries) and I also like your idea of illustrating the plants environment. If you are doing the ground view I think I would show how the strawberries attach to the plant rather than them being separate details next to the plant. It helps to refer to botanical drawings on line or in books to see how other artists have accomplished what you are considering. Keep up the great work!!!!
