Hi Renata, this is such a fun drawing. It looks like she is dancing! I really like the way you are using the highlight color to define the edges and indicate the spikiness and thickness. Also, great color range. I love those darks!
Thank you, Katy! The plant is really like that. There is still quite a lot of space on the paper (I cropped the picture). I was even considering adding the mother Aloe vera (this is the daughter), which is also dancing! Any suggestions?
I wouldn’t add anything unless you want to tell more of a story about the plant. I like it as it is.

I like this one just as it is, Renata. You captured it so beautifully. You could experiment with adding more to the composition with some tracing paper to see if you like it.
Thank you all. I will try the tracing paper but will probably leave this as is – I don’t want to spoil it 🙂 Will try a busier one on another piece of paper. This was a great workshop, thank you!

It’s our dancing aloe Vera! I just love this composition, and you’ve done an excellent job rendering it.
