I’m going to let another instructor comment since we chatted in class. Great drawing with you Rita. Love your pears – especially that cut section and seeds.
Hi Rita, I love the way you have used color, especially in the green/yellow pear. That kind of variegated color is difficult. Also the face of the cut pear has beautiful subtile details. Nice observation! My suggestions would be that you add the cast shadows. I’m assuming you plan to since the seed have one. Be careful with the cut pear shadow. Observe how it sits on the table. You only want the darkest part of the shadow to be where the pear is actually touching the table. I call it a “sit down” shadow. I also question the color of the reflective light on the yellow pear. It would work if the red pear wasn’t right next to it. Remember the color of the light is “reflective”. Meaning it is bouncing off what is next to it. In this case a red pear. It shouldn’t be as red as the red pear, but should be warm not a cool green.

Love the addition of the cut section, Rita.
