Fun page! So well drawn! I love your use of color. Especially the whites of the inside of the beans. Also those textures on the lanterns are beautiful, I’d like to see a bit more care taken with the cast shadow on the beans. You could use it to establish where the top bean would be touching the table. As it is, the top bean looks like it is teetering on top of the under bean.
Thanks Katy, the shadow should be an easy fix. The scanner doesn’t pick up the color of the shadows very well, but looking at it I think it will bring the shadow in closer to the base of the top bean and maybe not bring it out as far at the end. Always good to hear from you!

Great page, Maureen! Love the “family” names and combo. The texture on the tomatillas is awesome!
Lovely, as usual. I like the colour palette – I like looking at those red/brown beans and that ochre shell. I find myself wanting to see the tomatillo fruit that’s inside that husk!
@sam-mcwilliams I would love to see the fruit too, these pieces are remnants from last year’s growing season. It was very special to see all the tomatIlla lanterns and bean shells scattered in the greenhouse, I’ll keep my eyes open for a fresh specimen this summer!
