My leaves have been changing, so I referred back to photos I took when I had just picked the branch. Thanks for all the suggestions so far and definitely open to more. I’m actually thinking the lettering “triangle “ is awkward. I might add where I picked the branch to rebalance things.

I am watching my Dogwood leaves change now, too. Yours are a bit more colorful. I love the little neutral buds you have observed and featured. Surprisingly, they hold their own amid the brilliant colors. I like to think of them as the “promise of spring!”
