Tried to achieve depth on bumps without going too dark and added a hint of more orange on tall green gourd. This gourd when fresh as my original subject, was dark green with only a slight orange highlight.
Good responses to feedback. I like the orange additions to the one on the right. The one on the left is really stunning (and in the photo looks like a hilarious child gosling playing at making a nest in a plastic cup). I haven’t tried drawing one of the bumpy ones myself – but if we go back and look at Wendy’s video and trying the small sections like Katy recommended I bet it’ll help for future super carbuncled gourds. Ps, you’re on fire with your drawings!
That explains the absence of orange on your tall one. You should draw the more ripened, oranger one. Now that you have the shape down, it should be easy. 🙂
