Friday January 22: 5pm – 8pm EST
Sunday January 24: 5pm – 7pm EST
Instructors: Vern & Katy
Level: All levels
Botanical Subject: Monocot and dicot plants with leaves attached, monocot or dicot leaves detached, and/or dried leaves that are curling at the edges.
Workshop Description: In this continuation of our “Focus on Leaves” series, we will look at the way leaves twist, curl, and roll. We will study parallel-veined (monocot) leaves that twist and roll, and dried net-vein (dicot) leaves that curl at the edges. We’ll discuss various ways to approach rolling and twisting forms in botanical drawing.
Our workshops include a set of pre-recorded videos for you to watch as you prepare for class, as well as recordings of each workshop session, delivered via email. We encourage collaboration and community, and we strive to create a safe virtual environment for everyone to draw together. We provide live demonstrations on the first day of a workshop and constructive critique of your work on the second day. ALL of the registration and video material for this workshop is delivered to you via email. Please be sure to add info@drawbotanical.com to your email contacts so that you do not miss correspondence from us!
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations at least one week in advance will receive a 95% refund (5% processing fee), or you can choose to transfer your registration to another available workshop.
