Lovely drawing! I like seeing the interesting cross section of the cone. Good value range overall! My one suggestion would be to add more of a sense of the light source. I want to see more of the cylindrical form of the cone. Where is the higlight? Where is the shadow?

Hi Rita, Nice Job I’m loving the richness! Especially the center drawing. And on the cross sections I think the darkness sets off the pulp color. The only thing I would say is that you want to be true the color of the subject. Add the darks, but keep the key color as accurate as you can.

Hi Margaret, Lovely smooth toning. I really like that red to green on the Shasta Daisy stem. I think you could add a touch darker values in the green leaves. Try indigo. Don’t get too dark, just a bit in the deepest shadows.

So, so beautiful Rita!!! The highlights combined with the dark areas make for such a stunning image!!!! And the curve and how the subject is positioned on the page! Love it!!!!!

Wonderful page Liz!!! Great composition and attention to the details! I think the cluster of needles on the top left could use some dark toning in the overlaps to help it read better.

Wonderful Liz! I would revisit the right side of the cone. It lacks the details and looks unfinished. Also, I would expect that side to have some dark tones to emphasize the cones overall form. Great job!!!

Wow Rita!!! The flower is beautiful! I don’t see a highlight side and a shadowed side which I would expect to see. The leaves are great, especially the two in the middle. Great job Erin!!! I think you could use more dark toning on the two pears on the right to emphasize their form. Like you did so well with the green pear! Don’t use the dark sepia if you do add more toning because it could muddy those beautiful colors. I would also lighten the highlight on the green pear.
