Now I am planning my composition. I used tracing paper to try out some ideas. I have also planted my bulb and hope it will start growing soon so I can add in the stem on to the bulb.

I am getting ready for the Amaryllis workshop in January and having fun creating this page very slowly. Just added the bulb. Who doesn’t love to draw a bulb!

There’s an Amaryllis slowing dying on a rack at the grocery store – I should go save it and draw the bulb.

Such a powerful image Sam!!!!! There are so many wonderful things to look at here that I don’t think the blemish distracts at all!

Is this watercolor Sam? I’m trying to capture the golds and browns of autumn grass and leaves and could use some tips. It’s gorgeous!

I agree with Doug. Of all your recent posts, the little fuzzy leaf is my favourite because I know for certain that the time taken to achieve all that subtle detail does not have a direct relationship to the size of the leaf!
