All advice welcome. I think I might do some enlargements in the space to the right, petals, stamen, and cone-like structures.

Your colors are so soft and beautiful. I don’t think I know the plant, but it’s lovely.

Hi Jerry, this looks lovely and well drawn. The color is delicate like this on the the plant and you have captured this beautifully!

Thanks!

If I were to redo this, I would have rearranged the flowers and buds a bit, but itβs all part of the learning process😀

Just a quick drawing, eh? π Such a stunner – and one of my favourite veg plants. Beautiful work – I love it.

I really like this tomato. You did a really good job of making the scar from the stem look like it is extending into the fruit.

Your lemon is really beautiful. I see a faint circular pattern which seems to add to the realism of the shape of the fruit..

Hi Laura, Thank you for your kind words!
I’d like to introduce myself. I just joined the Draw Botanical team. I’ll be making comments on the ArtFeed.
I believe Vern is going to email everyone with a formal intro, but since you have commented on my drawing, just thought I’d give you a heads up on who I am.. -

Thanks guys! I really want to do another version because the flower head get kind of gray and mushy, but I donβt think I can face it for a while and will draw some other things first π

Really nice, Sam! Love the opened pea pod and the arrangement of the subjects.

What a beautiful painting! I love the seeds scattered about! It seem unusual to choose a horizontal composition but it really works for your subject!

Hi Katy, I am new too – still on the leaf lessons. I just love to look at your painting. The shadows are really lovely! It’s a very peaceful study.
-
Thank you, Laura. I love that you see it as peaceful. Maybe it is the horizontal format and muted hues of the subject. Those seedpods have done their job. Now they can lay down and relax.
