I have such trouble with leaves and where to highlight. Need more practice. Thanks again -

I would consider showing which is your shadow side more by darkening that side a tiny bit and then really the main bright highlights should only be on the opposite side so you are describing one strong light source!

Photo in the group Botanical Basics Discussion Board 8 years, 2 months agoConsider bringing shadow up to edge of apple so there isn’t an empty space, and then have the outer edge of the shadow smaller and disappear into the background with no outline edge! Nice color and pattern and highlights on apple! -

Photo in the group Botanical Basics Discussion Board 8 years, 2 months agoHi Michelle, this looks great, I recommend a more subtle shadow so that the tomato is the most important element and the shadow sits back and is quieter.
