I am so excited to celebrate the release of my new book and would love for you to join me! On June 14, 2026, I’m inviting a small group of lucky folks to come tour my gardens and studio, eat a delicious lunch, and leave with signed copies of The Album of Plant Families, inspired to continue on their own creative journeys. Here are some details about what to expect:
The Album of Plant Families: An Illustrated Exploration of Nature’s Beauty & Bounty, SIGNED
Much like our own family, plant families share characteristics, often in the arrangement of their flowers, leaves, and stems. This oversized book (12″x16″) depicts twenty-four plant families most commonly encountered in the garden and in the wild. Her superb full-page illustrations, featuring subjects rendered from life in color pencil and watercolor, help us visualize the sometimes surprising connections between different plants—for example, between the zinnia, the dandelion, and… Learn more about the new book here
Private Tour of Gardens and Studio at Hollengold Farm
In the garden, prepare to be wowed by spring wildflowers and learn about the different plant families growing together. Dip your toes in the serene natural swimming pool, full of plants that keep the water clean. In the studio, see behind the scenes, including some of the original plant family paintings and sketches that I created while doing my research, and a short demonstration of my drawing and painting techniques.
Lunch featuring Plants from Depicted Families, prepared by Marissa Marzullo
Talented chef, Marissa Marzullo, will craft a delicious, farm fresh lunch inspired by The Album of Plant Families. Because it will be inspired by seasonal ingredients, we can’t guarantee what will be available, but lunch may include yummy things like:
-Fresh pea soup (Fabaceae – Pea Family)
-Garlic scape, ramp pesto (Amaryillaceae – Amaryllis Family)
-Salad with Mulberries (Asteraceae – Sunflower Family and Moraceae – Fig Family)
-Mustard family inspired Crudites (Brassicaceae – Mustard Family)
-Summer Squash (Cucuberaceae – Gourd Family)
-Strawberries and whipped cream (Rosaceae – Rose Family)
